Team Race was first established during the release of Halo:CE(Combat Evolved) January 20, 2001. Its conception began with Vengefulsilent as the leader and ZeroDarkReaper as the Co-Leader. The name was derived from a game type in the game entitled Race. Two additional members were added: Paco and Grant but with no offical gamertag. The first scheduled competition was put together in a home belonging to Vengefulsilent(silent) and ZeroDarkReaper(Zero). The clan later moved onto Halo 2.

The Clan had then added Huntdown Travis and Chris. The clan competed in the 2006 MLG Pro competition in Dallas. After Halo 2 the clan made the decision to move onto Gears of War (G.O.W.) were it made its first real impression. Competiting in tournments all over Dallas, the GOW clan eventually took Dallas and played clans consisting of MLG Pro's from Halo 2. Mesquite then quickly was won over and Team Race then moved on to compete online. Being cheated out of several won games and getting robbed with Host advantage the clan realized G.O.W. online was going no where with all the glitches in the game and took a relatively short break. Call of Duty 4 then appeared on the scene. Team Race now consists of 10 members: Vengefulsilent, Ms Hea7 Ms (Zero), II Equalizer II, Dr Soose, Inheebriated, E money718, Grandadypurp420, Elykm, and Sothea. But are always on the lookout for new members.
